Chiropody (or Podiatry as it is now known) involves treatment and advice for all painful foot conditions, which commonly include corns, calluses, structural abnormalities, verrucae, nail problems and infections.Many foot problems are caused by ill-fitting or fashion footwear, and can often be cured with podiatry treatment, footwear advice and the use of insoles and/or protective dressings. Many foot problems are the result of structural abnormalties, muscle imbalances or underlying conditions such as Arthritis or Diabetes. Treatment, even of very painful corns or ingrowing toenails, is normally painless, and the relief of symptoms immediate.
